(It is also our birthday, but don´t tell anyone, we are in total denial... ;-)

Made-to-order summer wedding jewellery

Here is the latest special order made for  a special friend of ours. This set was ordered to match a specific dress for a summer wedding party.
The set is handmade out of several precious stones, such as amazonite, aventurine, polished glass and raw emerald, naturally hung from sterling silver chains.

The Koki Silver Bakery is about to awaken from its long winter hibernation. Ready to bloom is our new spring jewellery which will be available soon in our NEW and IMPROVED webshop.

New goodies in the making...

Just in time for Valentine´s Day these little babies will be added to the collection. Made of enameled hearts and large sweetwater pearls with a sterling silver clasp attached they will make a great necklace used one by one or a few of them together.

Gemstone presentation: Rose quartz

Rose quartz is one of the most desirable varieties of quartz. The pink to rose red color is completely unique, unlike any other pink mineral species. The color is caused by iron and titanium impurities.
Rose quartz is used as an ornamental stone and as a gemstone. It is also an alternate birthstone for the month of January.
Although rose quartz is usually too cloudy to be used as a cut gemstone, a few exceptional pieces are found with enough clarity and color to make fine gems.
Rose quartz is also a very attractive ornamental stone and is carved into a variety of shapes such as spheres, figurines and ornate statues.
Rose quartz is found in Madagascar, India, Germany, and several localities in the USA. Nowadays, most of the worlds supply of good quality rose quartz comes from Brazil.

Anna on a minibreak with the girls

This weekend Anna is away with the girls visiting a spa in Torekov. Ofcourse she did not forget to bring a piece from the Koki Collection with her. She chose to wear the beautiful oyster necklace "By the Sea" which goes perfectly with her cosy grey sweater.

Mixing and matching the Koki creations

This is one example of how you can mix the different pieces in our collection to create your own style.
Pictured are the "Dangling Beauties" earrings with sweatwater pearls, rosequartz drops and sterling silver chains. The necklace is a sterling silver chain with a little rosequartz drop charm attached and an additional sweatwater pearl to further enhance the look.

All our charms and pendants are fitted with a sterling silver lobster clasp which gives you the possibility to attach them on any necklace and bracelet of your choice. In short; freedom to create your own style.

And the colour of the year 2010 is...

Turquoise!
Pantone and the global authority on color (yes, there actually is such an organization!), today announced PANTONE® 15-5519 Turquoise, an inviting, luminous hue, as the color of the year for 2010.

“In many cultures, Turquoise occupies a very special position in the world of color,” explains Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute®. “It is believed to be a protective talisman, a color of deep compassion and healing, and a color of faith and truth, inspired by water and sky. Through years of color word-association studies, we also find that Turquoise represents an escape to many – taking them to a tropical paradise that is pleasant and inviting, even if only a fantasy.”

Turquoise adds a splash of excitement to neutrals and browns, complements reds and pinks, creates a classic maritime look with deep blues, livens up all other greens, and is especially trend-setting with yellow-greens.

Visiting our silver supplier in Antalya - smells like spring!

Maria is currently in Antalya to visit our sterling silver supplier. Always a pleasure to see all the wonderful silver material.
We like to start creating, in our minds, even before we have gotten our hands on the new material. It makes the design process more free and fun.
At the moment we have a comfortable 17 C here, feels like early spring. A perfect environment for the creation of our spring collection.
